We congratulate our client, Marchesi Antinori, on its acquisition of Napa Valley’s iconic Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars from Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, owned by private equity firm Sycamore Partners. Marchesi Antinori acquired Stag’s Leap and other wine-related real estate assets through its U.S. subsidiary, Antinori California, which also owns the Antinori Napa Valley estate.

After the Firm’s client sold its commercial property and business, a plaintiff associated with the buyer sued the client, wrongly claiming fraud and tortious interference with prospective economic advantage. Firm litigators Zeb Landsman and Tara Higgins sent the case to New York’s Commercial Division and filed papers seeking a pre-answer dismissal based on the written terms of the governing contracts.
