Becker Glynn Represents German Development Bank in $50 Million Mexican Environmental Protection Project
The Firm represented Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft (DEG), a German Development Finance Institution, in a $50 million financing of Banco de Sabadell, S.A. (Sabadell), a Mexican bank. Sabadell will use the DEG loan to fund companies developing environmental sustainability projects in Mexico, including projects to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse emissions, and sustainably manage water and waste. The loan is expected to increase economic growth and environmental tourism in Mexico. Andrea Marquez-Bottome and Peter Hosinski led the Becker Glynn team, which also included associate Sarina Fritz. The transaction closed in February 2021.
