Becker Glynn Advises French Development Bank In Landmark Climate Finance Investment in Brazil

Becker Glynn represented Société de Promotion et de Participation pour la Coopération Economique (Proparco) of France, one of our European Development Finance Institution clients, in a $140 million financing of Banco BTG Pactual S.A. (BTG) in Brazil. BTG is the largest investment bank in Latin America and a pioneer in promoting climate finance in Brazil. The loan from Proparco will contribute to the growth of BTG's green loan portfolio and the fight against climate change. This transaction closed in January, 2021.  The Becker Glynn deal team consisted of Partner Patrick O’Brien and Associate Sarina Fritz.
