Stern, Jordan E.
Jordan E. Stern is a Partner at Becker Glynn and a member of the firm’s litigation practice group. His litigation practice focuses on complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts, arbitration and mediation.
Mr. Stern, in partnership with the Firm’s corporate department, also regularly provides strategic advice and counseling regarding transactions, corporate governance, regulatory issues, employee matters, joint venture and contractual issues, and many other matters that arise for corporate management. Mr. Stern uses his many years of litigation experience in his counseling work to identify and minimize risk.

Representation of publicly-traded company, as tenant, in multi-prong commercial lease dispute with Manhattan landlord and sublessee over compliance with lease terms and related matters.
Defense of foreign investors against fraudulent conveyance and related claims in federal court, arising out of Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme.
Representation of international pharmaceutical manufacturer in a dispute arising out of the acquisition of a domestic pharmaceutical entity.
Defense of a publicly-traded company in multiple putative class action litigations alleging violations of applicable wage and hour laws.
Representation of clients, as employers, in numerous litigations and administrative hearings concerning wage and hour disputes, civil rights claims, and similar matters.
Defense of various investors against claw back claims arising out of the failed leveraged buyout of The Tribune Company.
Representation of a foreign manufacturer in a state court products liability and contractual indemnification dispute.
Representation of a plaintiff in a Delaware state court action alleging breach of fiduciary duty to creditors by the directors and officers of an insolvent entity.
Represent a foreign creditor in extensive proceedings to domesticate in New York and collect upon an $80 million judgment issued by the Swiss courts.
Defense of a domestic entity in derivative and direct litigation brought by a putative shareholder, alleging breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract.
Representation of a publicly-traded company in a state court contract dispute arising out of a failed multi-million dollar computer software project.
