Bonnie Klugman’s practice concentrates on all aspects of the employment relationship: the issues that occur during initial hiring decisions, throughout employment relationships and when an employment relationship ends. Ms. Klugman counsels clients on the vast array of employment-related laws including executive compensation and related public disclosure; the implementation and roll-out of policies; evaluation of employee claims and disciplinary decisions; defense of EEOC claims; restrictive covenant enforcement and defense; and retirement and welfare benefit plans.

Employment matters can have significant securities law, tax and ERISA consequences. Ms. Klugman regularly advises clients on employee-related issues arising out of corporate transactions (such as mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings) and ongoing corporate governance. She is regularly involved in the design and implementation of equity or cash-based compensation arrangements and employment, retention, change in control and severance arrangements.

Throughout her career, Ms. Klugman has represented employers, directors and executives, including management teams involved in change in control transactions. Her counsel helps clients to resolve issues without litigation or places them in better position should a dispute arise.
