Zeb Landsman Publishes Handbook on Legal Writing for Litigators Called "No One Wants To Read Your Brief"
After years of legal writing and thinking about legal writing, litigation partner Zeb Landsman has published a short handbook on brief writing called No One Wants To Read Your Brief. It breaks the bad news that judges don’t relish the task of brief reading and, instead, want only to have finished reading a legal brief and to understand what they need to decide the case. The litigator’s job, Mr. Landsman explains, is to ease the court’s burden by simplifying issues and writing clearly. The handbook offers some of the helpful tools he’s discovered over his career.
