Becker Glynn Bolsters Latin America Practice by Adding Prominent International Private Client and Real Estate Team

Becker Glynn is proud to announce that David Tobon has joined the Firm as a partner, along with Justin Marques and Lea Udler as associates, and Aline Klaus Recktenwald as a foreign associate.  Originally from Colombia, and fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, David has a vibrant private client and international tax planning practice that focuses on Latin America and Brazil, in particular. Beyond international tax planning, the new team brings substantial experience representing foreign clients investing in U.S. real estate and the structuring of U.S. real estate investment funds.  They have been active in pre-immigration tax planning for foreign executives and are well acquainted with the unique federal income and estate tax issues typically faced by such clients.  Justin Marques concentrates on real estate and associated tax planning.  He is fluent in Portuguese.  Lea Udler focuses on corporate and tax planning, and is fluent in Spanish.  Aline Klaus Recktenwald is a Brazilian attorney who concentrates in tax planning.  She is not admitted in New York.  The addition of David, Justin, Lea and Aline further deepens the Firm’s connections to Latin America and our distinctive ability to understand the needs, cultures and languages of our clients there.

Becker Glynn’s Latin America practice has been integral to the Firm since its founding, with a deep network of relationships that span generations.  We are thrilled to welcome David, Justin, Lea and Aline into that tradition.  For more information, please visit the Attorneys page at beckerglynn.com/attorneys.
