Michael J. Dougherty
Michael Dougherty is a former tax partner at Becker Glynn, with broad experience in corporate, partnership and international taxation. Now of counsel to the Firm, he assists the firm’s corporate, international and real estate departments in their activities.
His own practice concentrates on high net worth families, particularly non-U.S. families. He works closely with these clients and their family offices, often in close cooperation with their non-U.S. counsel. These clients typically have extremely complicated structures, and make investments of all kinds, including direct investments, co-investments with major institutions, and a wide range of fund investments such as private equity funds, real estate funds and hedge funds.
He also has extensive experience representing senior officers and management groups on compensation arrangements and in connection with the formation of new businesses and new funds.
